Missed Connection: Girl Seeking White Guy, Brown Hair

You were standing 4 and a half feet in front of me in line for lunch at Driscoll. You were wearing dark wash jeans, dirty-ass sneakers, a t-shirt from a sports camp you went to, and a navy blue hat, even though we were indoors. When you glanced my way, I saw that you had beautiful milky skin, pale as moonlight, and short, greasy brownish-blondeish hair. Though I couldn’t see your face, the blue (?) eyes peering over the edge of your mask seemed to say “I try to stay out of politics” and the way you shouldered your black backpack reminded me of Atlas holding up the sky. I couldn’t stop looking at you. When you passed me on the way out, I said “hey,” and you said something back, but I couldn’t hear it because we were both wearing masks and were also standing really far away from each other. It was love at first sight.

I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve never met anyone like you before, ever, in my whole life. Not at home, not abroad, and definitely not at Williams College. You are truly one of a kind. I have to see you again.

If you feel the same way, meet me outside Paresky at 4 pm on Friday. I’ll be wearing black leggings, a grey sweater, and a purple mask with a little cow on it that really makes my mid-length highlighted hair pop. I hope to see you there.
